There is so much to see and do in this beautiful part of East Kent.
For those with an interest in history, Dover Castle on the famous White Cliffs has a fascinating and moving history dating from the Romans to World War II. The world's oldest known seagoing boat can be found at Dover Museum, alongside the Roman painted House.
Nearby Deal is a charming and characterful coastal town with a rich maritime history and a growing reputation for fine dining. Our sister house, Edmund House, is located just a stone's throw from Henry VIII's Deal and Walmer Castles.
Golfers are spoilt for choice on this Kent 'Golf Coast'. There are four Open Championship golf courses within 15 miles of Crabble Hill House, including Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club, Princes Golf Club and Royal St Georges which hosted the British Open in 2011. It is possible to play as a visitor on a local Open standard course every weekday!
Dover and surrounding villages have some excellent restaurants and pubs.
Other outdoor pursuits include cycling, sailing, fishing, walking, bird watching and much more. If you have a particular interest, let us know and we'll research the full range of options available locally.
